Effective date: April 28, 2026. This draft policy is written for a Hong Kong-only MVP and should be reviewed by a qualified legal adviser before launch.

This Privacy Policy explains how BookYourVoice collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data for our Hong Kong-focused marketplace.
We aim to handle personal data in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong and the Data Protection Principles.

Account details, such as your name, email address, password credentials, role, and communication preferences.
Profile details, such as your bio, photo, topics, languages, speaking formats, organization, portfolio links, and social links.
Opportunity details, such as podcast or event descriptions, dates, locations, audience information, compensation notes, and host requirements.
Messages and interactions, such as applications, invitations, conversation content, status updates, and support requests.
Technical data, such as device information, browser type, IP address, pages visited, and analytics events.
3. How We Use Personal Data
To create and manage user accounts, profiles, listings, applications, invitations, and messages.
To help hosts discover speakers or guests, and help speakers or guests discover relevant opportunities.
To operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the platform.
To send service messages, updates, support responses, and optional product or community communications.
To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect users, the platform, and the public.
4. Legal Basis And Consent
By using BookYourVoice, you agree that we may collect and use your personal data for the purposes described in this Policy.
If we ask for additional consent for a specific purpose, you may decline unless the data is required to provide the requested service.
You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications where those are offered.
5. Sharing Personal Data
Profile and listing information may be visible to other users and visitors depending on how the platform is configured.
We may share relevant information between users to support applications, invitations, bookings, messages, and introductions.
We may use service providers for hosting, analytics, authentication, email, storage, support, and security. They may process data only as needed to provide their services to us.
We may disclose personal data if required by law, court order, regulator, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
6. Storage And Transfers
BookYourVoice is intended for Hong Kong users, but our service providers may store or process data outside Hong Kong.
Where data is transferred outside Hong Kong, we aim to use reasonable safeguards and trusted providers appropriate for the nature of the service.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
If you close your account, some data may remain for backup, audit, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.

We may use cookies, local storage, and analytics tools to remember preferences, understand usage, improve performance, and protect the platform.

BookYourVoice is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
